20w 5d

Wow, 1/2 way already. Where has time gone? I am feeling baby daily now - and in only the last few days he/she has become quite active regularly around 2pm and again around 10pm. But of course, every time I put my hand to my belly to feel it from the outside - he/she screetches to a halt. Already causing trouble this one.

I had my 20w appt this Tuesday with good ole Dr. Dainer - whom I just adore! I am measuring dead on for 20w, which is good. Heart beat was good again too - at about 150bpm. That is a relief, as I have been such a nervous wreck this pregnancy. I will have to re-do the 3 hour GTT at 28 weeks. At least Hubby will be home by then to watch the kids. I did ask the doc what, "monitoring me closely at the end of the pregnancy" meant - as that is what the perinatologist said would be needed since my HCG level was greater than +2 on the AFP. Dr. Dainer said, that meant another detailed u/s at about 28 weeks...and if that comes out good then nothing special until 34 weeks when I will begin weekly NST's. Ok.

10 more days until my next big u/s. I am every excited. I am praying the baby shows us the goods. I so want to know what we are having...will it be indoor or outdoor plumbing? I had been thinking girl - but now am not so sure. Hmmm, time will tell.
