I had my second big u/s today! Today the perinatologist was very sweet. She measured everything and counted fingers and toes. She kept showing me pics and saying things like, "Isn't that just a beautiful, perfect, little heart?", etc. Then she said we were going to try and see "what" this baby was - and that the baby's legs were all stretched out so it should't be a problem. She asked me what we already had at home. And I told her...11 y.o. girl, 5 y.o. girl, and a 4 y.o. boy. So, she says to me...."How about another....beautiful little girl?". Wowie! I had an inkling all along that there would be more pink in our lives. Everything else looks great. No signs of Downs at all. As I leave I ask her if she is pretty sure it is a girl, because I am going to start buying dresses. She got a big smile on her face and said, "100% sure it is a girl". Wow, not often they say that, eh?
I go in for another measurement u/s at 28 weeks, and again at 34 weeks - when I will start the weekly NSTs. Moving right along. I e-mailed Hubby the news. Can't wait for his response.
