I had my second visit with the "complicated OB" team at the Navy Hospital. It went great! I am down another 2.5 pounds...and yes that leaves me -6 pounds since getting pg. My BP was good at 106/70. My sugars are good. I, however, have a UTI. Bleck. Overall, nothing fantasticly out of the ordinary. I am doing well enough to have a visit in 2 weeks (and not every week). Yay!

I asked about induction. Since I have GD they will not let me go overdue. I asked the doc. what they planned to do since I am due on Christmas day. TO my shock the doc said, "well technically that wouldn't be a problem since we run with a full staff on Christams". Then she added, "however, we do try NOT to schedule planned inductions for weekends and holidays". Whew. She went on to say we would talk about it later as I got closer. Closer? Umm, I have only got less than 11 weeks now - but ok. She did say that with my history they would be ok with inducing me the week before Christmas.

Then what happened? I came home and the reality of having a brand new baby on Christmas day hit me. So I now have this bright idea of asking them to wait on the induction and if I don't go by Christmas - then we will induce on the 26th. My mind is spinning with the prospect of "induction" and actually having another baby to care for - especially at the holidays.
