CD30. 14DPO. Hello, my name is Tiffany, and I am a POAS addict. Yes, I have been POAS since 8DPO. Pathetic, I know. Here is the run down...
8DPO - neg.
10DPO- neg.
12DPO - neg.
14DPO - possible faint +
Woaaa - possible faint +? Well let me give you the run down. Hubby and I are night owls. We didn't hit the hay until 11:30pm or so. I wake up at 1:50AM, needing to pee. Oh no. Not yet! I only peed 2 hours ago and if I pee now, my first morning urine won't be strong enough. So I go back to sleep. I wake again at 4am - this time my bladder feels like it is holding back the hoover dam. So I get up and go into the bathroom and pee in a cup. I do the little dip sticky test (sensitive to 20 units HCG). I lay it flat on top of the plastic packaging it came in to wait the 5 minutes. I pick up one of hubby's Cycle Sport magazines and start reading an article. 5 minutes drag by and I glance at the test. From where I am sitting I can see the test line but nothing else. Alrighty. I pick it up to look at it closer. The whole test area is a pinkish hue. But what is that? Do my eyes detect a darker pink line amidst the pink hue? It looks like a faint line to me - and certainly an evaporation line wouldn't show up this early would it??? Hmm. What to do. If I try and wake hubby up, he will be too tired to see straight. Put it in the medicine cabinet, resloving to check it again when I wake up at 6am. If it really is a faint +, it should still show - right?
6am. Wake up Liv to put her into the shower. While she is showering I get today's test out of the medicine cabinet. There is definitely a line there. Hmmm, it looks dark grey - but wait...is the left side PINK? Ok, time and tide waits for no man while there is an iffy preggo test out there. I go to hubby. I gently rub his back and ask if he can get up, I think I may have a faintly + HPT and need him to look at it.
Hubby gets up and washes his face and is ready. I give him today's HPT. I ask him what he sees....A second line. You see, I ask him because there have been times - desperate times when I foolishly delude myself that an evaporation line is actually a +HPT. So, I take out the test from 12DPO (yes, I keep 1 as reference - and the 12DPO one had only what was obviously an evap. line...so faint and pale you had to twist it this way and that to even see it). I hand him the 12DPO test and ask if he see's a difference between todays and this one. He replies... Yes, this one here doesn't even have a line - it has a divet of where a line would be - but no line. My heart is thumping now. I proceed cautiously. What color is the line you see on today's test? Dark grey - except that the left side of it is pink. Ok. So we still have a possible faintly + HPT.
Trying not to get too excited here - but it is hard! I am not letting the word out just yet, as I would be devastated to announce only for AF to show. I am going to retest Thursday morn. -as HCG levels are supposed to double every 48 hours. If I get the same type of test or better - then I am going to go into my PCM for a blood test to confirm.
If I am, I would like to open thank the Good Lord above from whom all live and blessings flow! And if not, glory to Him whose timing is perfect.
