CD22...here eggy eggy eggy. Come out come out wherever you are! Hmmm. Why no egg despite the 5 days of clomid? Last month the egg showed around CD27/28...so if we are having that pattern again we should be looking at a Sunday/Monday O. It didn't help that L. told me that if I am getting a +OPK that late, then most likely it isn't a true O - but merely a cyst rupture. Oh joy. Thanks for the encouragement.
It bothers me that my RE wants to jump right from 50mg Clomid to IUI in 3 months time. What about an HCG shot to trigger the O? What about upping the clomid. I think maybe I should switch RE and go to the North Island RE clinic. Hmmm, guess I need to call tri-worst.
DH and I have been very active...almost everyday since CD12 - occasionally skipping the odd day here or there. I have been taking Robitussin (2tsp. 3x a day) for about a week now to increase the CM...as Clomid tends to dry you out. I have also been drinking (and get this cute name) Fertili-Tea. Apparently it is supposed to help with fertility problems too - it contains Vitex (Chasteberry), Red Rasberry Leaf, a few other things and peppermint.
Oh and something very funny. I also purchase Pre-Seed, which is a sperm friendly personal lubricant for those TTC on Clomid. (Remember the whole hostile CM brought on by Clomid.). Anyway, I didn't know how DH would take to us using it. Not that he is a prude or anything...but men can sometimes be a bit sensitive when the topic of needing help for their little swimmers comes up. (No pun intended). So one day I bring him the box and broach the subject. I start by reminding him about what Clomid can do to CM, and why I have been taking Robitussin. He asks me what the stuff is, and I hand him the box and tell him that it is sort of, um, uh, a person moisturizer. He reads the box and asks how I discovered this product and I tell him that L. suggested it - as the month she and V. used it in combo with Clomid they conceived their baby. So, DH is like ok - whatever will help us conceive little Phinehas or Pippa he is game for. I walk back into the kitchen to keep cooking dinner (leaving the box with him) and I hear DH yell, "HEY! This isn't a personal moisturizer". I can get a bit squeamish about terms and say; ok ok - so it is a lubricant. And yes chuckles and says, "This isn't even a lubricant ... it is freaking fertilizer". We both laughed and laughed. Fertilizer for his sperm - only my goofy DH would think of that one. What a nut.
Lord Bless Us and INcrease Our Numbers,
T.
